Again

By Anaelle

I thought of you and cried again
If you only knew - saw
The invisible tears running down my cheeks
But I'm only lying to you, right?
I never really cared - that's what you think
If you only read all those poems
Scribbled little words
Rendered worthless by your accusations
I thought of throwing them all away
...When I think of you and cry
But I can't throw a peice of me away
As much as you'd like me to
As much as you can just turn
With a wink and a smile
Walking away without one lingering regret
Do I mean that little to you?
Like a crumpled peice of paper
Forgotten behind the trash

I thought of you and cried again
Immediately hating myself afterwards
Twisted words from fake smiles
Is all your left me with
Even if you saw me clinging
To the nothing you gave me
Would you still think I was lying?
Would you still think I never cared
Emotions tossed away, invisible like those tears
Open your eyes - whispers
Take a look at what you turned your back
Will you remember?
Will those regrets finally come to haunt you?
Will you...cry...
...Over me...?
Will you...think...
...Of me...?
...And cry...
...Again...
