Shattered

By Anaelle

Repeated words
I heard you whisper to me
But they were only echos
Of words said to her
A shattered trust
I saw it fall from heaven
But you weren't there to witness
How convenient you weren't there
Spreading itself across the ground
Don't you want to stomp on it?
It's there waiting...
Or are you too busy with her?
Does she know of your lies?
Who are you to protect her?
Who's to protect me?
And I thought you cared
Porcelein tears shed for you
How cruelly you let them break
Against your fingers
But they didn't cut you - oddly
Carefully peiced together skin
Just doesn't break with one tear
But lies can soon untangle themselves
Only to lay limp on the floor, bleeding
I wonder if you realize you're to blame
Of this bloody death
