Goddess

By Anaelle

I was a child when I first saw her naked beauty,
Gazing into her mysterious darkness,
Her joyous light dancing in my eyes.
She comes to me every night,
And sometimes in the morning while I walk to school.
She comforts me when I feel alone,
Silently telling me she'll always be there.
I pray to her in my most desperate hours,
Because I know she listens and cares,
Unlike those fake gods the world kneels down and prays to.
I show my most inner self to her,
Trusting her to keep my secrets safe.
She sees my dreams and she knows my fears,
But I worry not,
For her forever presence keeps me real.
I cry under her watchful eye,
Knowing she doesn't judge or give me false hope,
She lets me restore my soul with my tears.
I worship her as my true Goddess,
And my Goddess she will always be.
She's my Mistress of the Night.
My Enchantress of the Dawn.
Wispy clouds shroud her secrets,
But she hides them not from me.
For she worships me as her Goddess;
As I do her.
