Passing By

By _Andrew_

As scattered thoughts and incoherent dreams make way to meager lessons in virtue
I walk the path I once chose
Unsure of where it leads

For a time I once believed that bravery and honor were a dead notion
And I now awaken to find I was right
But I will strive to hold it within me
For fear of failure will always partake of my life
For I will leave as I began in this world
Nothing

I will live as life is meant to be lived
I will live as a legend, read in a book I once read as a child
Never afraid to stand up
Never afraid to fight
For what I love

  • A former member wrote: 'As scattered thoughts and incoherent dreams make way to meager lessons in virtue I walk the path I once chose ' This is a great opening line & as such I was compelled to read deeper and was not cut; this is a moving piece well done... 'never afraid'..
