In the woods

By myscreamsilenced

I toss a rose onto the ground by your feet
Sensing the feeling of remorse and defeat
Memories full of laughter and some of doubt
Others of sadness from when you would shout

You sit up and call me over for a kiss
Me running towards you these I did miss
I open my eyes to find it's only a dream
Along with your life there goes our best team

You had grabbed my hands as we ran through the woods
You told me you loved me and you always could
Bringing me here to show me I was the one
Proving your love by the sound of a gun

In your left pocket I found a letter to me
You said that by doing this you'd be setting me free
I knew that I could love no one but you
So I gave you a kiss and killed myself too

No we're together forever in this wonderful bliss
Being able to savour every second of your kiss
They found us together knowing the truth
They knew we were in love and now they have proof

I find this to be a very heartfelt write. I enjoyed the passionate, unquestionable display of love and the story behind it. Impressive!
