i am the girl
who choses to sit
in front of the speakers
in her room
and listen.

the girl
who doesn't like to go out much,
who'd sooner stay in
with her music.

this makes me a freak.

it is unnatural
to depend on music
as much as all that.

music lets me feel, when i have no emotion.
it runs through my veins
and brings them to life...

the best cure for an aching heart
that i ever learnt...

but the thing i love
more than anything else,

music lets me be me.

music doesn't tell me i'm useless.
that i should change my clothes.
or be someone i'm not.

music is ALWAYS there.
no matter what i do.
no matter who i hang out with.
no matter how i feel.

there is always music that will help me through.

so yes,
you can call me a freak.
you can call me anti-social.
and you can call me a weirdo.

but music is the life support machine i need to breathe.
and you won't ever make me pull the plug...
