Regret

By Flayed_Soul

Speak to me of broken dreams.
No one has them, or so it seems.
Keep them hidden behind thick walls,
Piling up every time your heart falls.
Failed hopes are what we have,
Opening to the truth, our only salve.
So please, tell me of regret,
Tell me everything before your mind is set
To shut the entire world out,
To punish yourself with doubt.
Don't create a world that no one can see,
Don't live life in misery.
Problems will always lie ahead,
Whether you go outside or stay in bed.
Now I'll speak to you of regret,
I wish I could do what I've just said.
