Nothing

By I IS ME

Everything that is was created from nothing
The universe as big as it is was created from a dot of nothing
The moon was placed north and hung on nothing
I as a human is more than ninety-nine percent nothing

The love that we shared, a chemical reaction, nothing
The pain that I feel, anxiety, nothing
The dinners that we shared, illusions, nothing
The time that we knew was created, an illusion, nothing

Our touch, we vibrated at different frequencies, so there was nothing
Two stellar bodies separated by a black hole of nothing
Sound travels faster through matter, my echoes signify nothing
Distress signals are returning after bouncing off of nothing

Water is considered energy, why does these tears drain me to nothing
Where is the neutrality, is there such a place within nothing
How can nothing be reduced, it's already nothing
I remember looking into your sky and seeing nothing

I reached for your touch and there was nothing
I pulled myself ever so much closer and felt nothing
I sniffed at your hair, neck, and breath, and there was nothing
I tasted cosmic breezes and continually I tasted nothing

Haha, I looked into mirrors opening dimensions of nothing
I soared over horizons only to find that there was nothing
I can't focus, how do you focus on nothing
I refuse to sleep because dreams of you are my only true something

Questioning phase? Eh, you can really feel the general thematic frustration overall.
