In shadows cast by fear's embrace,
hopelessness fills this hollow space,
despair's cold grip, a relentless tide,
tears my soul, where shadows reside.

Fears of loss, the specter's breath,
whispers of kin's untimely death,
and as my faithful companion's light did fade,
my heart shattered, in sorrow's cascade.
