2020 hindsight

By Candy Cain

“Don’t go ... too fast, my friend ... or you’ll lose control”

*cram, clash*

Another symptom of my arrogance revealed

Peeled back the layer of armored

That shielded my id and ego

Burns, doesn’t it?

Well that’ll learn ya, kid.

The giant space between assumptions and hindsight dissipates

Objects in the mirror aren’t as honest as they appear.
