shards

By Qwendragoness

I lay on shards of broken glass
Remembering when they were pedals of a rose
The room aglow with the soft flicker of candlelight
So warm and forgiving this room it was then
Now a harsh blackened den
Memories lurk like the bitter cold of winter
The confusion of emotion washes over me
As I begin to realize the what I feel
I shift again in my bed of shards
And relish in my new erotic pain
