What You Make of It
By JustAnEarlyBird
I know that the world can be daunting,
I know that life can seem cruel
But in each moment's a blessing,
When you don't seek to settle a score.
Life isn't made to just be happy
Life is made to be full
You can't find nourishment in promises
A full plate is made of much more...
I know Death can seem horrid and vicious
But only when fear takes control
I hope you can witness the beauty
Of a life abandoned for soul

Author's Note:
I wrote this in response to someone elses poem on a different site. It is all my own work. It was just a response to a very negative point of view- one I didn't want to buy into.Comments on "What You Make of It"

That soul, though - Can't fucking beat it! I can sense yours is an olde one. We make good poets. And bad drinkers. Write on.

LOL. That's not an inaccurate statement. Now, Is it the old soul that makes it so, or is it just the natural state of a poet's mind that makes us unable to handle our liquor? By the way, I've quite enjoyed your commentary! Thank you!
