A Purpose of Nothing

By felicity0444

I sit here alone
Feeling like I am not enough
No matter the effort,
Or what strides I might take
I just get pushed aside
Like the ripples in a lake.
No reflection to see
No pretty sunset
Just a wave in the way
Of someone's sunset.
I am only important
When my ripples are needed
To push someone's boat along
To the shore they are in need of.
After they depart
And I slowly back away
I wonder how long it will be
Until I finally see
the sunset I've dreamed of
In all the dreams
That I dream.

I think this is something we can all relate to but the visuals you used made for a very sad and beautiful take on it. Really well done and much enjoyed, thank you for sharing, I hope you find your sunset :)
