Lost, Never Found
By totallyalone
When I first met you, I was like a lost pup
Alone in the world, spending hours trying to fill my cup,
Fill my cup up with peace, love, and hope,
Feelings that once lost, cause you to look for a rope.
You were everything I needed and more,
Always there for me, always so sure.
You played me, made me fall for you,
Making promises that would always fall through,
Promises to spend time with me,
To be someone who can look at me and see,
See the hurt, the hatred, the pain,
But know through those feelings, I was never slain.
I always got back up to fight another day,
That is, until you lead me astray.
You talked a good talk,
But could never walk the walk,
They says actions speak louder than words,
But words can be sweet, nice, sharp swords.
They suck you in and make you believe,
Then when it's too late, they make you bleed.
Bleed out emotions of love and hope,
Only to heal with bitterness, and end things with your rope.

While the feelings here are very truth, it always feels depressing to think, or more accurately realize the solid stone truths to ourselves; even if it's the only thing we see or want to accept as the truth. I wish everybody could just be real, everybody probably wishes that lies were never made, and that evil never existed. Accurate sonnance, well done.

Your pain penetrates the screen as I read. Many of my works over the years follow suit. Thank you for sharing. Keep letting your pain stain the page. Sometimes, it what keeps us pushing on. Thank you for sharing. Bless!
