The Lash
By DarkAsh
...
...
I could be the blood that wells up
Brightly
The jagged edge of skin
Torn
I'm the sharp snap of coiled
Leather
The hot hiss of pain-drawn
Breath
I am the cord
The whip
I am all that was and ever is
The here
The never
I am the strap which plays upon your ivory surfaces
And makes you scream
My
Name
I am the lash and
Though you are the one who swings me
Your skin is mine to break

"Your skin is mine to break", now that is an angry, yet powerful way to wrap up a poem. I am really liking the visuals in this write, and also how you expressed this so beautifully. Good job, my dear. Reb:).
