Of My God Frankenstein

By Eadgar Anton Crowe

I was lost
Caught on the piercing edge of gone again
A long descended
Harlequin

Cast of ice and smoke
Scribed in bloodshed

Entwined by the science of a heart
Frankenstein's adoring monster
Struck down by mirrors
Scryed by what?

But the creator that sang
Of a kinder götterdämmerung
To quiet the skies and lay at peace

And so did he

But as human nature died
My smile survived

Crackling on the edge, the precipice
Of the fires that burn,
The dead, in pits
