Surrounded by people
I feel so alone
Everything to everyone
As everyone knows,
But no one is there to hold me
So I am all alone.
Only sad looks
And angry strides
Break the silence
In my home.
That's why I live in my mind.
I've got nowhere else to go.
The places that I go
In my mind no one should know.
For they are filled with smiles
And dreams of the unknown.
The sounds of life are deafening
So silence is where I go.
To the place where no one knows
It's not truly their home.
