The Sound of Swarms

By Brandon

Clouds of night rolling in
Smother me in sin
Mother of the evening
Father wrought bereavement

Cast the sun further amiss
Enshroud in complete eclipse
Thrown across the sky
Where no eyes shall ever lie

I regret my birth to such a filthy home
Confined from where any man shall roam

A wracking so sullen, in the catacombs
Be rid of the light, darkened earth becomes a tomb

Swiftly I course through streets to fetch my prey,
Imbeciles line the lane to be slain.
Hopeless hearts, there shall be no more day.

This is wonderful! I love the image that this creates in the mind.... it really speaks to my imagination. I really like the line that reads, in part, "A wracking so sullen..."! Excellent word crafting. :)
