A Raven in the Rain
By Bittersweet Life
I bow my head
like a raven in the rain
Endlessly it falls
Crippled, I stand
Wash me away
I was never really here
My soul needs to fly
but my wings are sodden
Caged inside
this broken shell
The rain pours on
I bow my head

This was short but very depictive and vivid. It had the intensity and emotion. Great piece!

Such a short and beautiful read. A nicely penned poem to fill the soul.

Short poems are good because I'm lazy and don't want to read too much :D... On a serious note, though, this is a nice, concise read. It's like the depressive poetic equivalent of a granola bar, and I love granola bars. I'll be sure to look through your back-catalog of poems now that I've read this.

Hey thanks, I used to come on here a few years ago and decided to make a comeback to poetry. I'm glad my first one resonated with someone.
