With Kindnesses
By Eadgar Anton Crowe
Brown against white dress
This beautiful, precious forest
Mesmery in her bones
Sings of home
Silt drifts the riverbeds
Not a kind world but perhaps
With kindnesses
And catching fire, her heart rains
With man or want
Will this desire bring pain again?
I wander wishfully her boroughs
And silently her heart,
Might I grow here too? - My starling
My darling forest fire

This was absolutely captivating. The imagery is beautiful and that last stanza is a gem. Really nice piece! 10.
