Whisk away

By Jessica Orr

Eat.
Sleep.
Repeat.

Presently mystified
by the snap in discreet;
my warm comfy care
foiled again.

You didn't see the me
looking astute -
forming the look,
feeling my ghost anew.

My haggard stupid need,
to want you to see
that I source the waves-
not white
within deepest green;
my forest,
sweet drip
of whispering pool.

Love me.

Stretches of roads
have seen you mine
and draw your deck
of tricks;
she clears the stars
from her eyes-

Want me.

Morning croons song
by light;
Ruffled rise
with your whine
and smooth face,
power in being you;

Remember me.
I stare.

Repeat.
