A Farewell

By raspberry89

I can't find light in the darkness
Your smile seemed so harmless
But nothing in existence could satisfy
And no kind of persistence can pacify
This battle of hearts won't be won
You and I will never be one
Your soul must have stopped being
Maybe your eyes have stopped seeing
You asked for my trust and then betrayed it
Like you were making some kind of statement
Now there's no right thing to say
This is child's play
And I am finished
Any chance once had now diminished
So so long and good riddance
