Laser (-) light Tapestry

By Dark Unicorn

Ropes of scarlet lava encrust her azure veil
And crawl silently to the ground in bits of mosaic hail
They etch spirals of burgundy upon the great white horse
And paint jewelled horizons and ancient hieroglyphs in morse.

A thick stream of ebony spills from her chariot of wishes
Clenching all the earth in its vile veins and stitches
A thread of lavender-scented insanity swings delicately by
Weaving a lonely tapestry from the pearls speckled in the sky.

Lying on sheets of melting ice I inhale the blinking canvas
And watch the lilac butterflies make the moon from an octopus
A vanilla-sliced breeze dances over my celestial wonderland
And traps my shadow in an hourglass with no grains of sand..

...and I am stuck in this glitterbox kissing your laser light tapestry...

Darn!

It seems you were inspired by a picture or a photo to write this...Well, as I read I thought first of the the chariot of the moon and the goddess bringing clarity and peace... But your poem suggests that contrary, a vile entity.. An entity that brings insanity to the earth. Maybe the lilac butterflies are people who try to break that thread to find freedom and transcendence (the octopus)... Would you reveal the mistery behind the octopus and the butterflies? I'm very curious.. Thank you for sharing this work! :)
