Bring Me Everyone!
By WeepAnEvilLaugh
His one true love was murdered - A grisly, baffling death
No fingerprints, no DNA, any evidence has long gone
He’s been a professional for so long, but never felt this much pain
With no suspects, he holds his nerve and commands ‘Bring me everyone!’
The whole World, that was she - More than just a woman
But when the World dies, all that’s left, a round lump of human germ
infections
With nothing left to live for, and no human left to trust
Every single one of them; a suspect to pummel mightily with questions
The Officers under his authority have already felt his wrath
His almighty hammering, fist-pounding, bile-spitting interrogation
Even those above him have stared in his wild eyes
They all now tremble perpetual in chronic nerve suffocation
Now people from all corners are being dragged into the room
From pole to pole, from land to land, he has the legal warrant
Guilty until proved innocent, and your alibi had better be good
Because black or white, male or female, to him you’re all abhorrent
At first he sits in silence, no light illumes his face
Then he circles around you, as smoke fills up the place
And when he turns the lamp on, he blares it in your eye
What follows is an epiphany that it could be nice to die
He has more time that you could imagine, he could be time itself
He cares not now for the gears and the numbers on his wrist
He spends all his time with targets - And extracting truth with force
He has seven billion names down - Rest assured, yours is on the list
I’m afraid I can't assure you that if not guilty you’ll be fine
I would love to say to not be scared when you hear the sirens call
But all who have left his company are never quite the same
Do not underestimate the unpredictability of one who has lost it all
I leave you now with a final thought; I urge you keep to yourself
These words will cause shockwaves across all lands far and wide
And utter these words to his face, he just might flay you alive
But if the World is killed by the World, isn’t that called ‘Suicide?’
Author's Note:
I think the inspiration in this might have been Gary Oldman in Leon - 'EEEVVEERYYOONNEEE!!!!'Comments on "Bring Me Everyone!"
