Cyber Crush

By SickSanityJenn

Take my hand and take my heart
I've loved you from the very start
I hold my breath when we're apart

All throughout our simple text
Our eyes deep and darkly set
A smile hiding on your breath

And we know, there's nowhere we can go
When our hearts are hung so low
We're just someone's simple playthings
Dressed up in ragged day dreams
Stuck together so haphazard and hastily
Screaming "What are we? What are we?"

We are just another generic fail
A couple of kids with a love gone stale
We came in like we're a fairy tale

And although it didn't burn for long
It burned bright and it burned strong
We never thought we could go wrong

And we're falling, breathlessly calling
Are we stopped or are we stalling
Just fallen ruined iron angels
Cast down from the anvil
Not fit to fill a landfill.
We're at a stand still
Are we still happy in our own misery?
Wandering around aimlessly.
Screaming "Where are we? Where are we?"

Lovely build up and trickle down. Long distance love is so common, yet still so hard. "Ruined iron angels, cast down from the anvil" is especially appreciated. Though you are far away, it seems he or she is lucky to have this place in your heart.
