Demons

By SickSanityJenn

Bit by bit and bite by bite
Eaten alive by all their might
Tickling razors, nip of steel
Hollow body that no longer feels

Crimson, silky, shiny pain
Nails that grab, fight in vain
Twisted lips, devouring teeth
Lost inside, broken and beat

Feed the hunger with every tear
Tired mind consumed by fear
Lick the wounds, struggle more
Shattered heart, bruised and sore

Frightening creatures screaming inside
Terrible monsters scratch the hide
Pushed and pulled, kicked and shoved
Not unnoticed but not totally loved

Nice rhythm and rhyme makes this a pleasure to read. It's our inner demons we all fear the most.
