My only Wish

By drakemortuare13

How could you, an angel of light
Fall for a monster like me?
Your feathered wings soft as night
Against this stormy sea.

Your heart, bright as diamond;
Mine, as black as onyx
And yet your piercing, ocean eyes
Saw so much more than this.

Pain and suffering was all I knew
For the majority of my life.
But despite my anger, hatred, and rage,
I wished to call you my wife.

We couldn’t have been any more different
Than the way we always were
And yet you loved me, heart and soul
But still I made you suffer.

Now I beg to God above
To let me undo what has been done.
But its too late, there’s nothing I can do
But watch you turn and run.

Heartrending piece and it left me teary-eyed. I once upon a time, fell for a poet who claimed to be a rouge and he changed throughout time. I never thought I would allow my love for him to trickle through my fingertips. .sighs. Lesson learned... Secretly, I still fight for him as he's not aware. Well... Unless he reads this. Not likely though. :'( Beautifully express in fine ink, love! Bows- Nett Scholar

I am sorry. I lost mine because I hurt her, even though I thought I never would.
