To Ink I Bow

By DeepLoversPoet

I sink to my knees
into the deep dark depths of though I go
cowardly I crawl on hands and knees
lower then dirt I bow to the depths
knowing my paper will soon be full with ink.

this sounds like me when im getting ready to write. the thoughts and ideas that come from below. the stirring of the mind, the preparation to go into the blackest thoughts that make poetry worth reading. im glad you don't write about rainbows, although im sure they would be rainbows in the dark. our imagination is a wonderful thing. and with such a short poem you covered the scramble to contain the words that become beautiful art. awesome!

Well thank you I was going for just that affect. :)

Thank you for commenting and so true I think of myself as one of those people sometimes.
