Comfortably Numb
By DeepLoversPoet
WOW
can you feel me?
Am I, coming in loud and clear?
Is this not a static free zone?
Here I am feeling nothing but like a stone.
The air is so cold,
the chill has made me numb.
It’s a welcomed feeling,
I’m so comfortably numb.
Nothing but the warmth of fever
burning from within my heart,
keeps all from falling apart.
I’m so comfortably numb
setting in the dark
waiting for my drummer boy
to strum, strum, strum
on my strings.
My heart bleeds but no pain I feel for
I’m so comfortably numb.
I feel no more then numb.

hey, im really familiar with that feeling. i think its the foundation of why dark people become dark. i think its pain and suffering and a desire to mock it, to become it. to dwell by its side and join it rather than fight it. this is a great pen, and your gifted by your words. thanks for sharing. awesome!
