Unspoken
By Guillotine
nicotine curls around snakestain fingertips
a palpable venom hanging from your tongue
.drips. on the pavement, a momentary silence
caught in the buzzards of street lamps
examined and consumed.
And I?
I am left breathless; gasping for air
crucified at the edge of your lips
a martyr of thought and happenstance
body humming with anticipatory silence.
your fingers twitch; a minute decadence
an inflection gathered in your throat
coiled and bound
kismet colliding in your eyes
And I?
I am sent spinning starbound;
head full of dust and crickets
supernovas and Saturn wedged in my chest;
human tinfoil floating lonely through space.
Whole volumes were written
in the gaps of your song.

it made my heart sore to read this... i miss this, want it more than anything. you told me how painstaking it was to get this piece out... i believe it's because you actually magicked words for those lingering bewitching spell&starbound moments where there were none before. it is difficult not to wish these words were for me. beyond brilliance. divinity. much love and respect, my sweet, brave, fellow adventurer and warrior poet. xo
