Where were you?

By Fallenfromgrace

I stack the cards up, just to knock them back down,
My only success is failure, still I smile inspite of your frown.
Your past proceeds you and yet I never seem to learn,
what I do from day to day is none of your concern.
You were never there when I needed you the most,
you chose yourself everytime, to me, you were like a ghost.
Always in and out of my life anytime you damn well pleased,
promised to come back and take me too, but all you did was tease.
I was always so sad, but then I got mad,
It was just too inconvient for you to be my dad.
In between all the ex-girlfriends and all the ex-wives,
you sure do know how to demolish and break up lives.
3 boys and 1 baby girl to be exact,
my brother and I made a promise, we made a pact,
that we would raise our children with discipline and love.
Maybe then they would know how to act.
To all you parents who "don't have the time"
think of the broken heart of any child who's profile fits this rhyme.
