Family Reunion
By Electric-Chair
Headed down Memory Lane
In the wrong direction.
Brakeless speeds reach
110 miles per hour.
Animosity rides shotgun
And sins are in the trunk.
Flashbacks hit the windshield
With blinding obscurity.
Common sense left the vehicle
Faster than a fags cherry in the wind.
The future is fading in the rearview mirror.
Roadside warnings of
Dangerous curves and kinfolk.

This is my life in a poem sadly. I totally understand how you feel and it's the worst feeling. If you have problems with outsiders you can always leave them behind, but you can never rid yourself form your family... Great piece written with compassion. i love it.

You can pick your nose, but not your relatives! (HA) Very much enjoyed the entire piece and it gets worse as the years progress - then you realize that there are no "mandatory formations", belatedly, and finally become yourself, cheers EC! Great job on this reunion.
