His Heavens Rays Are Goading

By ubiquitoussoul

sky night
black hide
suit of stars...

torso wide
cloud muscle shifting
iris bursts concealed report
horizons yawning universe

its back
its spine line goaded floating
ripping through the abdomen

the strainer white
tumid not bleeding
light hides brute
a glinting sword
seeps dawning flagrant
cunning red
it mirrors
man stand on his bed

as death
the hunger
salivate
breathe
from the empty
out of it
gored moon enraged
feels on the hairs
it lifting
tilting
frantic flare

he thrusts and stamps
in walls
that bleed
that lurch
from disemboweled fate
drinking in clots
the waning pulse
spectators tie
ascend convulse

contend the fear
don't trust the heeled
earth be low moving
bend as shadows
licked by sun
ringed as a hive
his blazing finger
stringing cries
when overtures reside
the stare

The images pull at me, at war in skies of sanguine dawning, the battle between the beast and the brazen, gulping his sunset coagulation, vampiric and hunting. Eternal battle beheld. Wish i'd have been there to see such a sun.

Was really soaking in the adventurous, dangerously heady flow of this & caught the author's note after a third read...made it all the more terrific. Much appreciation for this piece a badassery. ~waves red towel~
