Mantis

By metaphormachine

She comes at night

In our past

she prays

God's ideas

kindles

monotony

Mantis eyes

God's ideas

watching over you

conservation

the genus

sex

copulation

knew

nibble

so she eats so I

as if they woke up then

& so are their mesh

doubt

not grow

she prays

talks

God's ideas

about me.

I was really drawn to this one because of the title...I have a serious crush on creatures of the mantid variety. A hot work, this...very humid, tubercle-drip of piercing language. Perhaps it is the dancing & the watching that makes me sweat. Liked this very much. Cool cool cool.

Restraint, holding back in conflict with her feelings. One part wants to do right by God, one part , like the insect, wants to eat you alive. Who can blame her! ;-) x

Hmm, interesting! That with the age ... But what is "fae"? I haven't found any translation... Only "fetal alcohol effect". Did you mean this meaning?
