Untitled

By Jeanne Fiedler

Life calls me
my talents,
my causes
but leaves the joy
in living intertwined
with emptiness...

Losing youth casts
its fear

I stare at the
shadows of the trees
on the trails
the dark on the
light reflects
the constant
joy and sadness
reminding me of
a lonely star
in the vast blackness
waning to dust...
