That Feeling of nothingness

By devilsrighthand

The sun completely disappeared below the horizon, throwing the small town into darkness. Finally, i thought, i can get out of here. I lived alone in a tiny shed during the day, at night I hunted. I hate the sun and the happy shine it gives everything, I like darkness and the shadows, it gives me a sense of security. Did I forget to mention that I'm a Vampire and the sun burns me if I stand in it's light?

I slunk out of the sheds tin door. It was freezing outside, but we Vampires didnt have feelings, physical or emotional. I wore a HAL tank-top with black jeans and electric blue flats. I liked to show off the size of my arms and shoulders-I was an arrogant prick. I gad shaved back and sizes and a fair frullet. I had the look of a thug, and the look matched my personallity perfectly. I had deep blue eyes, and an icy death stare.

I was walking next to the road on the side walk. Every now and then a car rolled past, their headlights reflecting off my eyes, making them look black and lifeless. I was heading to a small park in the middle of town to meet up with my gang.

As I neared the park i could see them sitting under a large light post, the yellow light washing over them. There were two guys-Jack and James, they were twin brothers and looked exactly alike with their pitch black hair and sharp green eyes. then there were three girls-Alexis, Liz and Bella. Bella was the most human-like out of us all. She cried at sad things and was always looking on the brighter side. She was energetic and had bright pink hair and wore a bright multi coloured dress. Her eyes were the same bright pink as her hair and always shining. Liz had no personality at all, she never laughed and she certainly never smiled. To us she was the most 'Vampire-Like'. She had pale blue eyes which looked as though she was searching your soul whenever she lookd at you. Then there was Alexis, her eyes deep brown, inviting and startlingly beautiful. I always had a solf spot for her.

I was about five meters away from the light when James-or Jack- spotted me.
"Hey Baker! What took you so long?" Asked one of the two.
"Remember I live outside of town?" I replied grinning at him. Bella practically jumped into me and wrapped me in a hug, "I missed you so much today," she said releasing me and grabbing hold of my hand. Everyone said she was madly in love with me, whether it was my size and strength or my dark charm-nobody knew.

We headed off away from the park, walking around towm, looking for some humans to toy with. We were walking down a usually abandoned street, Bella still clutching my hand anf trying to snuggle into my arms, when we found the first human. It was a girl-around 14 or 15-the same age as us and she was wearing a thick black hoody, her face hidden in the shadow of the hood.

"I call dibs!" James said, we all stopped and watched as he bounded off to the side of the girl. Earlier on that night I had worked out that Jack was wearing green Vans which made the other twim James.

"Hey girl, what you doing out here all alone at this time? Its cold and dangerous out here, you might catch a cold, mummy might be worrying about you right now," James said to the girl, the girl stopped walking and stared at him, she pulled the hood away from her face, she had pale skin and black hair.
"What do you want you freak? If you touch me I'll cut you open with my blade," she pulled a thin handled switchblade and pushed a button on it, a gleaming blade shot out.
"Freak? You better watch who you call a freak or I'll tear your throat out." The girl jabbed the blade into James' stomach. His eyes and mouth opened wide in surprise, he was about to yell out, but instead came an evil, mocking laugh, he pulled the knife from his gut with a sucking noise, and lunged at the girl, he tore her head back and bit into her neck. She struggled to push him away, her attacks slowly becoming weaker and weaker until she finally went limp.
