Flyaway Portrait

By alesana

There is a painting on the wall
a portrait of a man
he looks at me with frightened eyes
I wonder what scares him so
maybe he worries
about his lost beloved
or could he be scared of the dark?
possibly he wants naught
but to be free of his frame
so I open up the window
and watch him fly away
