Our Separate Spirits Sing

By alesana

Our dark reflections linger
Under trees of sparkling dew.
Though sun is gray and skies are red,
Still I long for you.

Of something dark and lonely
Our separate spirits sing.
While hope for life is fading,
To vanity we cling.

Crying for salvation,
Alone we wander free.
Waver not in surety –
We soon will cease to be.
