Tango
By alex herewane
He whispered in her ear I want love when the tango is over
She said
the this tango never ends
look at our history drenched in blood
look at our sunsets they never stop
our songs go on and on, the
sounds of our morning fall with every footstep
our fading nights have
no memory
In the layered dream, which layer have you chosen
I n the violent sunshine how much sunshine can you stand
I n the
losing of battles how much of you do you allow to die
Dress
your soul in the blood red rose
A kiss is not forever and love is
not a contract
When the tango dies you are but alone
Like a woman
with grace
You learn to say gooodbye
Can I win you with
my loneliness
Can I entice you with my hungry heart
Can I tempt
you with my defeat
H e starts to talk and she puts her index
finger to her lips
cuts him short and softly replies you are one man
that identifies with everyman
You are my demon, my philosopher, my
hero, my god
You and the tango, are like tomorrow you do not exsist
And the ocean holds its comments
And poems need to be read
aloud (if your not afraid)
Tell me again how I don't belong,
how I don't fit in
I am the hollow shadow, in this slow moving tango
