Gear Down Big Rig

By Huey Lewis

I'd rather stop eating, keep smoking
Spend all my money joking
Call in sick, working shifts
Seeing all the things I missed
No one else can hear it
When its creeping up inside of me
Words keep on repeating everytime I try to disagree

I want to run away every day
Disregard the things I say
Sell it all for what its worth
Or just light up and watch it burn
All these thing I work for, I never do appreciate
Would I even bother
When I see that it's just common place?

I think you're misleading and decieving
But I'd like to see you breathing
Something more and something else
I kinda wish I was myself
Everytime I wonder but it's draining to insanity
Standing up and falling down
When you try to manage me

Gear down big rig
You've got to get control
