Living The Nightmare

By forgoten_wolf

my screams witnessed by the heavens far above
this damned soul risen from the pit of hell
walking the earth dead in each footstep taken
God opens my eyes to behold my life in flames
while Satan locks and barricades the door to my conscience
then grasps it securely in his clenched fist
scars forever a remembrance of a disheartening past
living in the present with fear of the future
what is to become of me and the rest of humanity as we know it
stomach churning wincing in pain and abhorrence
wasted drowning in an tide of useless tears
struggling to hang on so desperately diminishing through the cracks
running on glass one foot after the other
avoiding to trample over the slowly dying corpse resting in the ashes
leaving a trail of blood leading towards the wrong direction
lips stapled shut hand hands fastened behind my bare back
muffles not understood any better than words themselves
the earth shudders in revolt helpless to cleanse the corruption
deaths icy hand approaches the vulnerable
stretching out his fingers to wrap around your petite and fragile neck
your immature stupidity will soon cease and be no more
you awake breathing sluggishly the toxic contaminated oxygen
take a look through a dusty broken window
searching for your pulse to reassure that you are still alive
blind my self from reality and its inferno
acknowledging that nothing will be alright
unforgiving and forgetting continuing with a cripple
living in your nightmare

Nightmare indeed, a glimpse of a plane filled with agony and bizarre torture, truly frightening. The atmosphere this created had an evil aura surrounding it, superb piece, write on. Scholar
