Shades of Grey

By HumanMonstrosity

A sailing shell on waters blind, Indifferent words in velvet sound
Beneath the sky you will find, that deep inside no land is found
Trustful wounds revealed to bleed, where dreams are lost to baron sea
Fading breath of candles blown, Spiral chain of neon lights
Beneath the skin the scars are shown, The mind is cursed to sleepless nights
Another day, another page, cover it all in tidal waves
Behind the glass a sightless mind, can never find the words to say
Eternal thoughts carved in stone, nothing left but dust and bone
Dried bed where pastels lay, fading oils of dying lakes
Painted all from words to say, Colors melt to shades of grey
