Joan of Arc

By Lethie

Blessed you hands lay open
Controlled your  mind drug threw dirt
Hurt your marked by dirty needles

Demons crawl from open doors

Ripping at your walls
Twisted expression of love
Rotten knots hold empty death

Black wings  beat to the music of hell

Hunted scripture sad from the mouth
Soaked in arsenic
Described as a kind burn

Fire grows from the floor to suffocate
Screams  echo off the blue sky
Your hands bound by jackals

Judgments face  bears a smile
Trickster named a fool
Armor so easily tarnished

Skin cracks from heat

Crowds howl for blood
Licking their chops
Hungry beast begging for a  bone

Lay a rose at her feet

Ever open, Ever closed
