I take flight

By Qurious

**my friend is a pilot and I felt his words were a thing of beauty, so I made them into a poem, which he has now put on his favourite social networking profile :)))***

You, mere mortal, little dot

My ground-tethered cohabitant of earth

Bound by your everyday drudgery and monotony

Look up to the skies

See me look down upon you

I am god-like

I am amused by your scurrying and scrambling,

Your stress and worry

I soar the skies

I don't feel your plight

Cocky in the cockpit, I take flight

What a great idea to write about. I enjoyed the lines very much. We are tethered down here. This piece reminds me of Floyd's, 'learning to fly'...I wish I could fly! write on.
