BUZZKILL

By Silent_Raven

Buzzkill
My only audience
Are the voices in my head,
My last relief
Scribbled down in inkblots.
The pills all fade away,
Their dying kiss a touch of pain,
And once again
This feeling of intoxication.
Their magic numbs my mind
Relaxing thought
Until I can’t feel my skin anymore.
But all too soon
Their nagging pleas collide
And I’m left empty once again,
Addicted.

I wish I could think of something deep and meaningful to place in these comments, but for some reason the word "neat" is the only descriptor that comes to mind after reading this piece. :)
