Lady of the NIght
By Silence
I looked up to the sky
Spotting something melded into the nights darkness
I thought I spied the moon crawling closer
As the black back drop shifted
A flowing pattern back and forth as though dancing
Only to see slowly the darkness slipping off
The darkness was only a cover
My eyes set upon pearled skin of a shoulder
Further slipping of the illusion
I can see a neck and from there it fell quickly
Revealing such a face of pure softness
You walked along the stars
As if the twilight was a pebbled beach
Stars the stones you stepped upon to reach me
Beconing me out even when I was weary
My heart reached out to clasp your fingers
Drawing you to me and myself to you
A place between the earth and heaven
Where you and I can be
As close as a man can be to true perfect happiness

That was touching, really deep, nice work. I loved the image this poem painted.
