The Road to Midnight

By Myzeray

Meet me on the road to midnight, where dreams become reality.Where even muses can find inspiration in our threads of destiny. Two sisters forced together, only linked through a slave’s goal,One a polished diamond, the other a lump of coal,Find solace in each other, heart, body and soul. How to describe the feeling of hurt and disappointment at not being the only one? Then finding your feelings the same gave me pause to think on some.Your longings and wants mirror mine, one in the same,As we go ‘round, pawns in His lovely game,Each yearning for his touch, reveling in emotional pain. Your beauty astounds me and your manner is so refined!Just like a Lady in servitude, your position with him so cemented and defined!Jealousy overwhelms me and is hard for my brain to digest,The thought of you so near to him, to see him more often my guess,With me so secluded and new you’re for sure more favored, but I digress. I wish to be content and patient, to be more complacent and wise…Teach me to be like you my sister! To be more favorable in His eyes!In my Lord, your Master, we have found love instead of hate.So come forth my kindred spirit! Come here to our likened fate!To our favored land of make-believe, that the two of us create!
