"just a whim"

By muckraker

i wanna smoke crack.

not now.
not any time soon.

but,
when i’m 80,
and stuck in a wheel chair,

i’ll roll around with a permanent morphine drip
and a phat bowl of crack.

and when i’m ready to die,
i’ll take plane ride up high
on crack, morphine, lsd, ecstasy
and any other fuct up substance
i can get my decrepit old man’s hands on.

i’ll open the exit
and wheel myself out.
(no parachute)

i’ll flip and i’ll fly

dip, roll and spin
in a head first downward death dive.

as the ground rushes up
the drugs’ll kick in
leaving me in slow motion surreal equilibrium.

then i’ll bounce off the ground
with a sickening sound

and when the coroner sees the drip splattered mess,
he won’t know what to put down as the cause of death,
“abrupt impact” or just "plain old-fashioned overdose."

Ha, you have a great point at the ending. I suppose if I had to die any way i'd probably want to be high. ~*~Tart~*~
