Reflections, Transparent

By DescendingDown

I walk amongst these poverty stricken streets..

(How did I get here..)

Down a crumbling brick road that once paved the path to my broken dreams

(Collapse)

On this hollow ground as it beckons `

Frantically grasping at a transparent solace

These binding lies (blinding eyes), taking refuge behind satin whispers & hypnotic "loving" gazes

(Come show yourselves..)

Thoughts shoot wildly, a pinball blindly smashing my senses

Sleep..

In the static reflections of my mind's foolish ideals

While the embers of this travesty still plea for recognition

& in vain,

I chisel at the cold steel bars of my heart's conceptual prison
