Intellectual Fingers

By Soldier Of Silence

With Cheeto fingers and Funyun breath
I peck at my keyboard
While my headphones blast sound waves
Into my pretty skull.

Vibrations cock the hammers in my ears
And trigger bullets of wisdom to pierce
My sporadic and often misplaced thoughts
And give them flight from my fingertips.

Sharp hacking sounds give life to my words
As they dance upon my screen in rapid succession
Often squared off and paired up in lines of four
But sometimes centered in four or more

Rhyming schemes or steamy themes
Rarely escape these fiendish fingers
But when they do and to no surprise
A delicious treat and magnificent feat.

But for all that know me they wouldn’t know
That at these late hours my fingers, commonly
Get a mind of their own.

Very clever, I like writes like this because it is something that just moves through each word, easy, and seamless. Great write.
